So off I went to the Yorkshire moors for the maiden voyage of the HMG flyer. Clear skies, slight breeze (well almost gale force but couldn't wait a minute longer). After obtaining clearance from ground control the plane accelerated down the grass runway. Then disaster struck - a powerful gust of wind caused the plane to alter course and taxi straight into the verge. Propeller broken and game over.
The ever-thoughtful chinese manafacturers included 3 other propellers with the plane (I now know why) so the story doesn't end here...

We proudly announce the arrival of our own record label Fabrikant Records. Here you can listen to and download tracks by us and our esteemed musical friends. Come take a look and a listen - we hope you enjoy.
While we take a break from gigs and grapple with new year's resolutions we're also hard at work preparing for the official release of NEW:HAPPY on our own little label, Fabrikant Records.
In the meantime (lest you should forget what we look like) here's a picture from our gig in Aberdeen last winter.

Last week I did a spot of moonlighting (again) with the YouTube beatboxing flute playing legend that is Greg Pattillo at the Jazz Cellar in Edinburgh. I've never seen the place as jammed with phone camera wielding fans - all trying to shoot the perfect YouTube video. Great gig - the man can play!! - and a top time was had.

Just to let y'all know that there's a new HMG video shot by camera ace and all round entertainer Dougie Hudson on our myspace page. Enjoy!
Three magical gigs with our lovely guest bassist Eva with daughter Clara in tow. Thanks to all that came along to see and hear us and to Dougie for driving and looking after us and to the venues and promoters for all their work. Also a big TQ to Monica Queen for opening the Glasgow show and coming back for more at the end of the gig.
Here's some photees:

Eva Malling is preparing to set sail over the North Sea to play some gigs with us here in Scotland. We will be playing in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen - Hope to see y'all there (or we torch your village).

Another magic trip to the island of Islay. First a cracking gig with the wonderous Mario Caribe in Port Mor where we duelled with bows and electronics as the sun went down over the sea and then a gig with the mini group at Islay House amongst the game trophies. Big thanks to all that came to see and hear us and for making us so warmly welcome. Big thanks also to the kid from the school who after our little education workshop followed us down the road shouting 'you're shite' and followed up with ' you're pish' . We love a critic so we do - made us laugh for the whole weekend.

Woooohooooo. It's in the can. Album three is mixed and mastered and to the sublime standard that could only be achieved by the man with the golden ears, Calum Malcolm.
A ten hour day with our supreme engineer Dave Hook assisting with hot water and towels and eight tunes were born to the world with the minumum of stress. All eight are healthy and robust and all five parents are back home and delighted. Release date will follow shortly.

..anxious moments as the magnificent neve desk goes into labour..

..the anesthetist arrives and all is under control..
You are all cordially invited to my birthday after-show bash at the Star Bar on Northumberland Street Lane from 11:00ish onwards next Tuesday the 21st.

Hopefully see you at one or both. Haftor
